Sample of projects I’ve worked on, including the challenge, what I did, and the impact.

  • Philadelphia Visitor Center Corporation, 2024 to present
  • Challenge: Prepare Philadelphia for a large increase in tourism in 2026 with a citywide ambassador corps that did not yet exist.
  • What I did: Set the strategy and success metrics, built the partner network, rallied fans of Philadelphia to join, designed the experience through in-person and virtual events, established a communications plan, launched an online volunteer hub, and managed a $1M budget.
  • Result: Recruited 10,000 Phambassadors in the first year, reaching a goal set for two years. Maintained an engaged fan base, with an average of 50% open rate for bimonthly newsletter communications. Grew Instagram presence from ground zero to over 4,000 followers in a year. Activated over 500 volunteers to support the FIFA World Cup, 250th celebration of America, and the MLB All Star Week in Philadelphia. Established partner engagement strategy for over 55 partners in the first year.

  • Director, International Risk Management, 2018 to 2022
  • Challenge: Keep 3,000+ travelers and overseas campuses in Rome and Tokyo safe through the pandemic.
  • What I did: Served as the university’s chief international officer for the response, used data and key metrics to build return to travel plans, and contributed to the Presidential Cabinet team.
  • Result: A safe, structured return to international travel. Among the first study abroad programs to safely re-open in Rome, Italy. Prevented large scale outbreaks and incidents at both overseas campuses.

  • Senior Director, Global Health, Safety, and Security, 2022 to 2024
  • Challenge: Understand the scale and risk exposure of domestic and international travel across the university.
  • What I did: Researched and implemented an IT system to track travel, and built a staffing structure to support 2,500+ international travelers a year.
  • Result: One tracking system for a 40,000+ person community, allowing us to accurately report on where travelers where at any given time. Built a partner coalition across 19 schools and colleges, identifying champions for the project to encourage and support compliance with new process. Enhanced team’s ability to support medical or security evacuations globally. Centralized travel data for university population, preparing risk mitigation plans for frequently traveled destinations.

  • Senior Director, Global Health, Safety, and Security, 2022 to 2024
  • What I did: Prepared SOWs and RFPs for the university’s insurance needs, working within a $500,000 annual office budget.
  • Result: Cut insurance costs 19.56% year over year.

  • Exchange Coordinator at The George Washington University, 2008 to 2013
  • What I did: Evaluated exchange partnerships, creating branding and marketing campaigns to promote ongoing and new destinations based on student assessments and demand.
  • Result; Exchange enrollment up 17% in one academic year.
